ABOUT US
Xtracurricular Organization (XO) is a Baltimore-based nonprofit organization determined to give young people the “right to play” in both the music and sports arenas. We offer free music education and sports training to Baltimore youth and facilitate the playing and learning of sports and musical discoveries. We believe our music teachers and sports coaches to be the most influential in a child’s development. They serve as catalysts for self discovery, improving grades, working as a team, physical and mental health, abstinence and dealing with conflict to reduce at-risk behaviors.

Our team work towards the betterment of children, teenagers and the under-served through fundraising initiatives, leadership and ongoing development of our music workshops and sports programs.

Mission Statement: To empower the lives of Baltimore youth through music and sports in a safe and educational environment.

Vision Statement: We envision a world where every Baltimore youth have the opportunity to develop their talents and build character.

How?
-
We develop and provide music workshops for children ages 6 to 13. These music workshops are designed to lay a solid music foundation by teaching the rudiments of music, introduction to piano and chord formulation.
-
We foster the use of athletics and music performance as tools for self-expression and fulfillment through our periodic music and sport events.
